Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional, our PTSD support groups provide a safe and structured space for individuals coping with the effects of trauma. PTSD is a real and serious condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing traumatic events such as combat, sexual assault, domestic abuse, human trafficking, childhood trauma, violent crime, bullying, natural disasters, involvement with the criminal justice system, or—most recently—the effects of COVID-19.

  • In this group, members learn practical coping skills and techniques, while also having the opportunity to openly share their experiences in a supportive environment. Practices such as meditation, grounding strategies, and mindfulness are recommended to help reduce stress and manage trauma-related symptoms.
