Douglas White is a licensed East Asian Medical Practitioner in the state of Washington. Over the last 18
years, Douglas has focused much of his attention working within the local community teaching and assisting
community members suffering from behavioral health and addiction problems.
Prior to his role as a Recovery Coach at the Tacoma Recovery Cafe, Douglas served in the military and retired after 23 years of active duty service. Douglas later went on receive a Bachelor of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Master of Science in Acupuncture. During and after his academic training Douglas has worked as a member of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Organization to provide treatment to people with addictions to work through withdrawals, emotional and mental health issues.
Douglas is also member of Acupuncturist Without Borders (AWP), providing local, national and international Auricular acupuncture treatment to individuals requiring emotional support resulting from national disasters. AWP also provides support for to military active duty, reserve, national guard and retirees and their family members that may need emotional support resulting from anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress and behavioral disorders.
Douglas is married and enjoys traveling with his wife, playing music and history.
